CROSS INTO THE U.S. WITHOUT GOING THROUGH CUSTOMS By GEORGE BAILEY

| Did I get your attention?
There is one spot along the Niagara River where you can do this without getting into trouble. It’s at the Niagara Spanish Aero Car that travels some 76 metres (250 feet) above the churning Whirlpool Rapids from the Canadian side to the opposite end also located in Canada. If you’re not familiar with the area some think the attraction travels into the United States. Apparently the car does pass briefly over part of the United States then quickly returns to the Canadian side of the boundary. This is where the Niagara River makes a sharp ninety degree turn as it flows north towards Lake Ontario.
Six one inch track cables are extended 548 metres (1,800 feet) between the two points.
This popular Niagara Falls attraction has operated since 1913 with a perfect safety record. It provides an unexcelled view of the Rapids and Niagara Gorge.
The Spanish in the title pays tribute to a Spaniard who designed the attraction.

George Debby, The Niagara River Recreational Trail runs parallel to the Niagara River. It's paved, flat and scenic. It is actually runs parallel to the route of the marathon. The enetire trail runs from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario on the canadian side of the border.
Ron Kronebusch Thank you so much for the information, this is the first trip me and my girlfriend Janet have taken together so looking forward to this and thanks for all the information.
Cecilia I would like to bring my 20 year old stepdaughter to Niagara Falls in March. Are there any attractions open in March? Also, will both of us need a passport to get on to the Canadian side? We both have Massachusetts drivers license. Thank you.
George Bailey Cecilia, Almost everything is open in March in Niagara falls. You will need a U.S. Passport to enter into Canada. You will need it to re-enter the United States.Your license is valid to operate a car in Canada. Hope this helps.
