HOSNI MUBAREK AND NIAGARA FALLS

With what’s happening in Egypt these few days I thought you might find this story of interest.
I escorted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarek, his wife and teenage son around Niagara Falls on January 30th, 1983.
It was a bright sunny day. I can remember being with the three and his bodyguard in a vehicle as we travelled north along the Niagara Parkway towards Table Rock Restaurant for lunch. Just as we got closer to the falls I picked up my large cellular phone and with a smile said, “Can you turn on the rainbow for President Mubarek and his family?”
Because I had travelled this route so many times at that time of the day I knew as we got closer to the mist near the falls the rainbow would appear. And as if on cue, it appeared.
Late at lunch Mubarek’s teenage son asked me, “Mr. Bailey how did you turn on the rainbow?” I answered, “Magic”.
